On the wedding day, nothing is more important for creating a beautiful, meaningful ceremony than the music selected. Rather than simply having instrumental music alone, the vocal songs chosen will lift the celebration to greater heights. That's the powerful advantage of including solos with stirring words set to beautiful music, performed with heartfelt emotion. Regardless of the genre of music chosen, a vocal soloist enhances any wedding ceremony.
Bell Music offers a free consultation with the prospective bride and groom. At this time Leith Bell will sing and play through several pieces of music. Some preparation on the part of the bridal couple is required:
1) Many times a house of worship will have strict guidelines about wedding songs, and musicians used during the ceremony; be sure to ask your church wedding coordinator, Priest or Pastor for a ceremony outline!
2) Ms. Bell collaborates with various musicians for accompaniment including piano, classical guitar and harp. Accompaniment should be confirmed at the consultation.
3) Many genres of music are available from classical to contemporary. Though it isn’t necessary, it’s helpful for the bridal couple to give some advance consideration of what’s they’d like to hear. Resources for music include CD’s from the public library and YouTube®. Some of Ms. Bell’s favorite wedding repertoire is also itemized on the last page of this package. As music is considered, the couple should not dismiss music because of length. Ms. Bell is adept at making modifications to music to suit the needs of the ceremony.
The music should be finalized 3 to 4 months in advance. This is especially crucial if there is a special song request or sheet music that will require extra rehearsal for the musicians.
